Rakesh Kumar is a passionate software developer with over 3 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer 2 at Uber, where he is part of the uSearch team and working on uWorc Platform, Uber's low-code platform. Prior to Uber, Rakesh worked at American Express as an Engineer III and as a Software Development Intern, where he created the Hadoop platform for handling services for around 100 Silver and 200 Gold clusters for 20 million American Express cardholders. Rakesh is a self-learner who likes to explore new technologies and languages. He is always looking to learn new things and apply his existing skills to solve real-world problems. His areas of interest include Data Structures and Algorithms, Competitive Programming, Machine Learning & Optimization, and Web Development (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, NodeJS). Rakesh holds an Integrated Post Graduate degree in Information Technology from ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, where he studied from 2015 to 2020. He also holds an Intermediate degree in PCM-Physics, Chemistry, Maths from Kendriya Vidyalaya, where he studied from 2012 to 2013, and a High School degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya, where he studied from 2010 to 2011. Rakesh has a strong technical skill set, including experience in Software Engineering, Web Development, NodeJS, Machine Learning, Search, MongoDB, AngularJS, Hadoop, and Elastic Search. He is a problem solver who enjoys working in a team environment and is always looking to gain experience and sharpen his skill sets.
