Ralph Gootee is a seasoned technology executive with over 18 years of experience in the software industry. He is currently serving as a Visiting Partner at y combinator, where he is responsible for guiding companies and helping them achieve their business goals. Ralph has been thoroughly enjoying his experience at y combinator and is looking forward to more opportunities to help companies grow and succeed. Before joining y combinator, Ralph was the Chief Software Architect at Autodesk, where he helped with international expansion and led a small, focused engineering team that tackled the hardest market problems in construction. Prior to that, he co-founded PlanGrid and served as the VP of Engineering, Chief Product Officer, and CTO of the company. During his time at PlanGrid, Ralph helped build a +200 R&D team and was a board member along with Doug Leone, Carol Bartz, and George Hu. He also played a key role in the acquisition of PlanGrid to Autodesk for $875M. Ralph's technical expertise includes senior software engineering and product management. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Pixar, Sony, and Johns Hopkins.
