Ranjit Narjala is a highly experienced senior engineering leader with over twenty years of experience in software product development and research, with a focus on security, identity and authentication, mobile and wireless networks, and platform technologies. As an Engineering Manager at Google, he leads a team of high-performing engineers to design and deliver innovative solutions that solve real-world customer needs in cloud security. Ranjit is passionate about building and working with geographically-distributed teams to achieve common goals. He believes in staying close to technology and has 21 granted patents to his name. He has also worked with standards bodies and industry consortiums to help define global technology specifications and engage extensively with ecosystem and government partners on awareness, adoption, and deployment of various technologies. Prior to joining Google, Ranjit worked at Intel as a Director of Security Solutions Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager of Platform Security. At Intel, he built a team from the ground up that designed and delivered security solutions for Intel client platforms. He also led the transition of complex projects from other geos to the team in India, ensuring product development and customer commitments continued to be met through the transitions. He engaged with local ecosystem partners and the government to develop their awareness of security capabilities on Intel client, data center, and IoT platforms. He led Intel's participation in Cyber Surakshit Bharat as well as the India chapter of the FIDO Alliance. Ranjit holds an MS in Computer Science and Networking from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Karunya Institute of Technology. He is a Senior Software Engineer, Research Scientist, and Mobile expert with over 23 years of relevant experience.
