Ravi Sharma is an experienced Project Manager with expertise in Process Systems and Metrics. He has a passion for solving complex problems and transforming and automating processes and operations. Ravi is a team player with excellent communication skills and has managed large-scale projects throughout his career. Currently, Ravi is working as a Project Manager for Alcon, where he established a fleet management category to manage leases, maintenance, and accident management of 2400 commercial vehicles. He also established reporting processes for US commercial fleet operations to top management, including US CFO, by designing and creating Tableau dashboards for KPI reporting. Ravi navigated the COVID and semiconductor shortage crisis and generated savings of $1 million a year in additional rebates, extended payment terms, and strategic extension of leases leading to reduced payments. He automated the invoice processing and cost allocation process, saving multiple man-days of manual work and increasing cost allocation accuracy from 18% to above 95%. Ravi mapped the automation process for migration of 35,000 vendors to the Ariba platform from the legacy system, ensuring the risk assessment is performed while dynamically managing the workload of 14 teams for optimal utilization of resources. He also led the project for tracking and analyzing consulting spend in the spinoff from Novartis Pharmaceuticals, coordinating and reconciling global spend of $200Mn with multiple major consultancy suppliers including KPMG and Deloitte. Before joining Alcon, Ravi worked as a Leadership Development Program member at the same company. He performed analysis and identification of strategic suppliers and executed vendors' contracts in HR and consulting category to prepare Alcon as an independent company for the spin-off from Novartis Pharmaceuticals. He also worked as a Project Manager for Neeley & Associates consulting team to optimize the supply chain of Canadian retail operations of Michael’s, a fortune 500 company. Ravi holds an MBA in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Texas Christian University - M.J. Neeley School of Business and a BE in Computer Science from the University of Rajasthan.
