Ravinder Nehra is a skilled Core Software Engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working at Tower Research Capital, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining core software systems. Ravinder has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. During his time at IITR, he gained a strong foundation in computer science and developed a passion for research. As a Research Intern at Adobe, Ravinder worked on a self-tuning scheduling system. He analyzed and extracted features from application production logs, clustered similar behaving applications, and developed a Reinforcement learning model to predict the best machine where a waiting task needs to be scheduled. His work helped to achieve better performance and efficiency in task scheduling. Ravinder has also worked as a Google Summer of Code student at the HoneyNet Project. He contributed to the development of Snare, a web application honeypot that clones the website and is used as a server to publish it. He implemented MySQLI, Command Execution emulator (using Docker), and a new base emulator architecture to facilitate the addition of new emulators and added new API methods. He also implemented a WEB UI server to show stats and information captured by the honeypot using Aiohttp and Jinja. He is a GSoC '19 Mentor and a GSoC '17 Student at the HoneyNet Project.
