Rishindra Kumar is an experienced Software Engineer currently working at Gaian Solutions India as a Member of Technical Staff - 3. He has over 6 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering, web development, and big data analytics. Rishindra started his career at Walmart as a Software Engineer - II, where he worked on Global Data Analytics Platform (GDAP) to build scalable machine learning systems and data pipelines to extract valuable information from terabytes of data. He used prominent big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc. using Java, Scala, Python, and R as primary programming languages with the use of shell scripting to automate certain modules. During his time at Walmart, Rishindra worked on scaling the Next Generation Supply Chain System, which uses time series forecasting models to predict item demand at the weekly level, to make it run for more number of departments. He automated the entire process from data-load to generation of business reports and developed web services for visualization dashboard. He also developed a Hive Streaming web application for data scientists to run the uploaded algorithm in R or Python on the selected table from UI. Rishindra is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he earned his Bachelor of Technology degree in 2016. He has a strong tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Web Development, Python, Spark, Big Data, ML, Hadoop, Kafka, Apache Hive, UI, Scala, and Java. Rishindra is currently working at Uber as a Software Engineer, where he is leveraging his expertise to build innovative solutions.
