Riya Tirole is a seasoned software engineer with over 4 years of experience in diverse industries and tech stacks. She is currently working as an SDE2 at Amazon, where she collaborates with the retail business tech team to create system designs and implement code. In her previous role at Goldman Sachs, she worked in both front and back office tech teams, where she uplifted multiple applications across post-trade from old Weblogic/JMS infrastructure making them stream-based, self-healing with dead-letter queues, deduplication checks and configuring it to run across hosts with zero intraday downtime release without impacting business. Riya has a passion for understanding business functions and linking technology solutions to business needs. She enjoys communicating with stakeholders, teams, and users to deliver reliable and resilient products that ultimately enhance customer experience. In addition to her technical responsibilities, she also mentors her juniors and collaborates with teams and users. At Amazon, Riya is currently working with the Business Payments Experience Team, where she is building a lambda service to read transactions data from upstream (SQS) and persist specific types, bank transfers & disbursements to DynamoDb and ElasticSearch. This will improve transactional transparency for users to get transactions reconciliation (with respective order mapping) reports for their business account. Riya's education includes a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Engineering from Cummins College of Engineering. She also has a Science (PCM) + Computer Science (Vocational) degree from St. Josephs High School, Panvel, and attended Carmel Convent School, Khopoli. Her technical skills include software engineering, Elastic Search, infra, and Scala. Riya has relevant experience of 4.35 years.
