Riyas P is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering various web applications and microservices. His extensive experience with different programming languages and frameworks, including Python, Go, Nodejs, Java, Ruby on Rails, Flask, Django, Angular, and React, has made him a polyglot engineer. Riyas has also tried his hand at Automation and DevOps with tools and technologies like Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift. Riyas has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Government Engineering College of Palakkad. He has worked with different companies, including Lightwing and Sahaj Software Solutions, where he has gained experience in various projects with varied sets of scales and technology stacks. Riyas has worked on tools like RabbitMQ, Kafka, Postgres, redis, etc., in most of the projects. Currently, Riyas is working as a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Cost Management at Harness. He is extensively working on Go and React for the daily tasks. The core team remains the same, and contributions to design and architecture are better than ever. Riyas is working every day on cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. He has implemented the next generation cloud AutoStopping, built AutoStopping Kubernetes operator, added support for Kubernetes AutoStopping, integrated Lightwing components to Harness's CCM UI, and added pipelines for building and deploying the Lightwing services to Kubernetes. Riyas is also helping customers with setup and onboarding. Apart from his professional experience, Riyas loves traveling with his camera in search of places and frames or diving headfirst into a fiction binder from his couch. He believes that every problem can be solved if we concentrate on the "why" part of it, rather than the "how" part of it. Riyas strongly believes that we won't live long enough to make all the mistakes ourselves, which has motivated him to learn from the mistakes of others along with his own.
