Rohin Agrawal is a skilled and enthusiastic software engineer with a passion for building and learning new things. With 2.70 years of relevant experience, he is currently on track to become a senior engineer. Rohin's expertise lies in data structures and algorithms, distributed systems and high-level designs, low-level designs, problem-solving, backend development, and Git. Currently, Rohin is working as a Senior Software Engineer at MakeMyTrip, where he has developed a Social Media Platform for Travelers using Vert.x Framework. He has optimized the API response time by maintaining Aerospike Cache and designed DB Schema keeping in mind further Extensibility. Rohin's tech stack for this project includes Java, MySQL, Guava Cache (LRU), Hibernate (ORM), Dropwizard Framework, Vert.x Framework, and Kafka. In his previous role as a Software Engineer at MakeMyTrip, Rohin developed the Promo Service and Validations of the Promotion Codes based on multiple parameters. He made the service work for multiple languages based on different regions and served up to 2k-3k requests/min. He also developed REST API's for Promo Service using Dropwizard Framework and created an InMemory LRU Cache to store user's fetched Promotions to decrease the response time. Before joining MakeMyTrip, Rohin worked as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant, where he developed the backend for the product of their client, a Desktop Application for End to End Trade Management. He developed using Java with Spring & MVC framework and used Hibernate Framework as an ORM for mapping the Object-Oriented to Relational Database in Oracle SQL. He also used JUnit and Mockito for Functional Testing. Rohin completed his Integrated (M.Tech + B.Tech) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in 2020. He also completed a course in Computer Science from Scaler Academy in 2020. Rohin attended Gwalior Glory High School in Gwalior.
