Rohin Gopalakrishnan is a curious and empathic software engineer with diverse experience across the stack. He has worked and led teams and projects involving various technologies, and his areas of interest and current expertise are in Backend Development and Cloud Infrastructure. He founded a software company with a team of 15 engineers and mentored them to deliver impactful solutions to 10+ edtech, fintech, and health tech clients/startups. He provided cloud infrastructure solutions, frontend & backend services, built mobile apps, and counselled executives to make informed engineering decisions, interfaced with clients to recruit, train, and scale their engineering teams. He also rearchitected and rewrote the entire software suite for an Indian crypto exchange using Java/Springboot/React/SQS/Redis/MongoDB deployed on AWS stack from a monolithic .NET solution. Rohin has also worked as a Software Engineer at Crio.do, where he built and maintained the platform's back-end, front-end, and infrastructure. He recruited and led a team of six developers to deliver multiple features spanning over 100+ APIs in Java for various services such as user, workspace, audit, and so on. He implemented and institutionalized DevOps, Agile methodology practices, and reduced $10K/mo. in cloud expenses by managing resource policies. He drove the migration of the platform’s architecture from GCP to AWS. Rohin has a Master of Science in Computer Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from PES. He also has a High School degree in Computer Science from AECS Magnolia Maaruti Public School and National Public School. Rohin's relevant experience in the industry is 2.04 years, and he is a quick learner who can adapt to new technologies rapidly.
