Rohit Garg is a highly skilled Data Scientist with a passion for Machine Learning and Deep Learning. He has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Cornell University and a B.Tech M.Tech Dual degree in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. With 6.86 years of relevant experience, Rohit has worked with some of the leading companies in the industry. Currently serving his notice period at InMobi, Rohit is the tech lead for a 10-person data science team. He is responsible for architecting solutions and mentoring team members, looking ahead by 3-6 months to plan the DS roadmap, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver business goals. The team works on large-scale content recommendation systems, serving 10M+ MAU, and uses state-of-the-art techniques like Deep Learning, graph embeddings, Multi Armed Bandits, etc. They are a full-stack team, responsible for data, models, deployment, and uptime. Prior to InMobi, Rohit worked as a Technical Lead at The Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz Ltd, where he was responsible for Deep Learning on embedded systems, software architecture design and implementation, and an individual contributor role. He also worked as a Chief Optical Scientist at Nayam Innovations, where he designed custom lenses used in Cataract Surgery. Rohit has a strong Tech Stack, which includes Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Deep Learning, Mobile, Recommendation system, ML, Senior Software Engineer, and Python. He is a Machine Learning/Deep Learning practitioner and has expertise in CUDA as well. Rohit is a proactive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He is a quick learner, adaptable, and always ready to take on new challenges.
