Rohit Kumawat is an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for solving real-life problems in the web. With 3+ years of experience, he has worked extensively on JavaScript, React, Redux, and UI. Currently working as an SDE2-Frontend at Swiggy, Rohit is skilled in web performance, code optimization, and product building end-to-end. Prior to Swiggy, Rohit worked as an SDE-Frontend at Paytm Payments Bank, where he honed his skills in solving SonarQube issues to learn code quality patterns and implemented custom API retry functionality on top of Axios for error cases. He also worked on new features using React, Redux, Node, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and improved the design system, code cleanup, faster page load time, and bundle optimization. Rohit was also involved in the whole product cycle, starting from discussing feature requirements with the product, discussing the design system with the designer, finalizing the component structure (state & UI), component unit testing, PR review, resolving QA bugs, to finally deploying it. Rohit also worked as an SDE-Frontend at Primathon, where he worked on a Design System that contains a component system, different themes, storybook integration, and end-to-end testing with Cypress. He also built a marketing tool from scratch and made it responsive using React and Redux. Additionally, he built and released a Chrome extension for a virtual office environment. Rohit holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from NIT, where he studied from 2015-2019. He also completed his HSC from Vidhyasthali Public School in 2014 and his SSC from The Modern Happy School in 2012.
