Rohit Singh is a highly skilled Senior Member of Technical Staff with over 11 years of experience in software development, specializing in Core Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, WEB SERVICES (rest and soap) and APACHE CXF for web services, backend web development, testing frameworks JUNIT, EASYMOCK, cache frameworks like ORACLE COHERENCE and EHCACHE, eventing frameworks like ORACLE COHERENCE EVENTING, SPRING REACTOR DISRUPTOR, and schedulers like QUARTZ and EJB TIMERS. He also has experience with Queue framework like JMS, IBM MQ, and ORACLE AQ (Advance Queuing) and has worked in Agile methodology, Test Driven Development, continuous delivery/continuous integration, and scrum. He is currently working for VMware's famous network and security product named NSX, where he worked for the development of intent-based networking and security layer for new NSX product, i.e., NSX-T. The new played is known as the policy layer. Policy is a management layer above VMware’s famous product NSX-T, which is basically an up-gradation of NSX-V. All requests from the client or VMC are handled by policy, and then policy will interact with its enforcement point i.e. NSX-T to apply the changes pushed by the user. Policy is designed to give users a more simplified way to interact with NSX-T. Rohit has worked as an individual contributor and has worked for the implementation of new features like NAT and IDS from scratch on policy intent layer. He has also presented the functional specs to a wider audience and taken approval to start development. Rohit used Test-driven development and wrote possible test cases first and then took approval for the testing team. He started development based on Test cases and co-ordinated with colleagues sitting in palo-alto for any queries. Rohit wrote collibri test along with Junit Integration Tests. Colibri is a python written framework for end-to-end testing, and all test cases are written in python
