Samriddhi Sinha is a highly skilled and motivated professional with a passion for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning. With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Samriddhi has been actively involved in the open-source community, contributing to various projects. Samriddhi has a strong background in developing NLP-based solutions, including tokenization, gender tagging, lemmatization, and POS tagging. Samriddhi has worked as a Natural Language Processing Intern at Fractal, where she developed a BiLSTM-based Artificial Named Entity Classifier (ANEC) aimed at restricted business domain systems. The ANEC outperformed a previously established Stanford Constituency Parser based NER in terms of both accuracy as well as search time. Samriddhi has also worked as a Technology Coordinator at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where she was entrusted with the responsibility of creating web interfaces that improve the link between the administration and the student community on behalf of the Gymkhana, which handles the extra-academic activities of an institute of more than 10,000 students. Currently, Samriddhi is working at Google as a Google Summer of Code 2017 Developer. She has developed a natural language processing toolkit in Python for dealing with Indian languages under the mentorship of Portland State University. She has worked with Hindi, the third most spoken language in the world, keeping Bengali (another Indian language) as a future deliverable. Samriddhi has also engineered models for basic NLP functionalities using the Hindi Dependency Treebank for the tagset and the Wikimedia dumps for creating a sizeable vocabulary. She has created a model based on Recurrent Neural Network with LSTM units for Part of Speech tagging that utilizes word embeddings as features. Samriddhi is proficient in various technologies such as ML, NLP, AI, Recommendation system, Backend, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Deep Learning, Senior Software Engineer, Ruby, Search, and Software Engineer. With 3.79 years of relevant experience, Samriddhi is a highly skilled and motivated individual who loves crafting holy grail long shot solutions to moon shot problems. She is a huge caffeine addict and an amateur chef who loves to cook as much as she loves to eat.
