With over 5 years of relevant experience, Sanika has developed a deep understanding of algorithm engineering, robotic perception, and localization. Sanika's expertise in algorithm engineering and robotic perception has been honed through her work as an Algorithm Engineer at Zenuity, where she worked on the Perception and Localization teams for over 2 years. During this period, she developed features for products like Autonomous Valet Parking (AVP), Traffic Jam Pilot (TJP), and Hyper Traffic Jam Assist (HTJA). Some of her notable achievements include object-free space polygon generation using an occupancy grid, real-time in-vehicle localization using Particle Filters, graph SLAM system using LIDAR data, and data association for traffic sign matching. In addition to her work as an Algorithm Engineer, Sanika also interned at Zenuity for three and a half months in summer 2017. During this time, she worked on a wide range of projects, including localization and mapping for an Autonomous Valet Parking (AVP) system and joint road geometry estimation and vehicle tracking for ADAS. Sanika's academic background is equally impressive. She holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Major: Robotics) from the University of Michigan, which she completed in 2017. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in 2012.
