Sasi Kumar Pillai is a highly experienced Testing Infrastructure and Tools Developer with over 12 years of experience in both manual and automation testing. He is skilled in various testing methodologies, SDLC and STLC lifecycle, sprint activities, bug lifecycle management, test metrics, test coverage, and deployment activities. Sasi is also an expert in functional automation tools such as Selenium and Cypress, mobile automation for Android and iOS using Appium in Node.js, and API testing using Axios in JS. Currently working as a Software Engineer III at PayPal, Sasi has worked on PYPL CRYPTO (BTC, LTC, ETH, BCH digital currencies) BUY/SELL flows and automation. He has also worked on enabling digital currencies to US and non-US merchants for two-party transactions. Sasi has designed and implemented a robust UI automation design (aka LUCID) using Cypress with multithreading capability. He has also created his own runner that overcomes the Cypress limitation of multithreading, designed features to identify flaky TC, and failure analytics engine. Sasi is an expert in API automation and framework design (aka LUCID). He has created a Node.js-based framework for API testing from scratch with multithreading capability, driving the script based on the function name in the input JSON file, building his own retry logic (automatic event listener) if there are any server-side (5XX) failures encountered during the execution cycle. He has also expertise in creating webhooks to trigger auto CI events, converting Spring Boot REST to Docker image, and creating Jenkins load balancing activity. Sasi has hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, REST development, Selenium, J2EE, JQuery, HTML+CSS, Docker, NodeJS, Java design patterns, Shell scripting, and Angular 2+. He has also worked on creating executive test dashboards using AngularJS, multi-node cluster creation on Kubernetes using kubeadm, and building responsive custom reports from scratch that work on all devices. In his previous roles, Sasi has worked as a Lead Automation Engineer in Broadsoft at Cisco, where he educated team members to follow agile lifecycle and played the role of lead as well as an Agile coach. He has also worked at Cognizant as an Associate. Sasi holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic & Communication Engineering from Anna University.
