Sayantan Majumder is a Senior Software Engineer at Qualcomm, with over 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, multimedia and machine learning. He holds an M.Tech in Computer Science from IIIT Bangalore, where he graduated in 2020. Sayantan is a GATE '18 AIR: 805 and has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Netaji Subhash Engineering College. He completed his higher secondary education from Guru Teg Bahadur Public School and senior secondary education from De Nobili School. Sayantan is a Linux kernel and machine learning enthusiast, always looking for challenging opportunities to step out of his comfort zone and excel in new areas. He has worked on multimedia domains such as video driver, video codec, media codec framework, and touch driver. Sayantan has a good understanding of video codecs such as V4L2, OMX IL, Codec2, MediaCodec framework, touch driver/i2c framework, SMMU, DDR, Linux internals, process management, and memory management. Sayantan has expertise in C/C++ development in multimedia, Android, Linux, and embedded platforms. He is skilled in various computer languages such as C/C++, JAVA, Python/UNIX shell script, and protocols/frameworks such as V4L2, OpenMax IL (OMX), Codec 2, I2C, SPI, TCP/UDP, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn. Sayantan has hands-on experience with various tools and IDEs such as Visual Studio, Beyond compare, ADB [Android debug Bridge], Fastboot, Putty, Git, Gerrit, QFIL, QPST, Crashscope, Trace32, Anaconda/Jupyter Notebook, etc. Sayantan has previously worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Qualcomm and Systems Engineer at TCS.
