Shan Mehrotra is a Lead Data Engineer at Inmobi with over 6 years of experience in the field of Data Engineering, Data Science, and Big Data. He has worked with top companies like Salesforce, Myntra, and AIG in the past and has gained extensive knowledge in the field of data management and analytics. Currently, Shan is working as an MTS with the CDP team at Salesforce, where he is responsible for building the big data lake house for Salesforce Data Cloud/Single Source Of Truth. He is also working on provisioning an Utility Service via AWS DataSync to sync data from GCS (Google Cloud Storage) to Amazon S3, on a continuous periodic basis. Prior to this, Shan was a Senior Data Engineer at Myntra, where he handled data pipelines, Azure wrappers, recommendations, and size & fit based projects. He has also worked as a Data Scientist in the past with MiQ Digital and as a Big Data Engineer with AIG. Shan holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from IIIT Bangalore, where he secured 99.11 percentile in GATE in 2014. He completed his BTech from College of Engineering, Roorkee. Shan has a diverse tech stack, which includes Data Engineering, Salesforce, Java, Data Scientist, Big Data, AWS, C, Azure, Research Scientist, Spark, Redis, MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spring, and Flask. He is also a mentor and has worked as a Data Engineering Remote Instructor and Mentor at Scaler Academy. With his extensive experience and diverse tech stack, Shan is a valuable asset to any organization looking to manage and analyze their data effectively.
