Shantanu Kawale is a highly skilled Backend and Data Software Development Engineer with over 4 years of experience in multiple industries such as E-commerce, FinTech, Ed-Tech and Ad-Tech. He is currently working as a Software Development Engineer II at InMobi, where he is responsible for building RESTful APIs and elegant web pages using Node.js, Express, GraphQL, Redux, React.js, Typescript, MySQL, and MongoDB. Shantanu has a solid hold over unit testing frameworks and libraries such as Jest.js and Sinon.js. He is also familiar with version control, agile product management, and documentation tools such as Git, Jira, and Swagger, respectively, as well as AWS products such as EC2, SQS, S3, Document DB, etc. In his current role at InMobi, Shantanu is working on the Central Data Platform (CDP) and has ingested user-related app, location, and identity graph datasets from multiple third-party data providers into the existing in-house data store. He has also set up alerting and metrics tracking for the in-house data ingestion framework, automated Grafana dashboard creation on dataset ingestion, and migrated multiple data pipelines from Azure Data Factory running on in-house clusters to Apache Airflow with Databricks. Shantanu has also worked on improving the pseudonymization algorithm used to store user data, making it more secure and less error-prone, and led the end-to-end effort on Java 8 to 11 migration as well as Kubernetes upgrade. Prior to InMobi, Shantanu worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer at WhiteHat Jr, where he improved and generalized the referral module to be easily scalable for multiple countries, segregated the referral module into a microservice from the backend monolith, and set up a queue-based plug and play framework for performance marketing affiliates. He also implemented various features on an A/B Test basis to measure growth, such as OTP registrations, Twilio Verify, Twilio Lookup, and event-based Appsflyer and Clevertap integrations to track user journey through the app as well as the website and improve it.
