Shashank Shekhar is a graduate student at NYU Tandon pursuing a Master's in Computer Engineering with a keen interest in Machine Learning, Embedded Systems, and Software Development. He has gained key skills in Database Management, Data Warehousing, and ETL tools, among other things, while working in the Data Engineering division at Cognizant for a year. Shashank is currently working as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions as part of the Data Engineering team. He has worked with various data warehousing and big data technologies, gaining a holistic perspective of the entire flow of a data analysis pipeline. Shashank is actively pursuing opportunities for internships in Summer 2023, mainly in the fields of Machine Learning, Software Development, and Embedded Systems. He has previously worked as a Programmer Analyst Intern in the Data Engineering vertical at Cognizant, where he gained experience in Python, SQL, Hadoop, and PySpark by working on real-time projects as part of the CSD program. Shashank has also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Manipal Institute of Technology, where he worked on two research papers. The first paper proposed a hybrid clustering methodology for 6G networks to enable optimum resource allocation by assigning the base stations to hot-spots with heavy traffic requirements. The second paper provided an overview of the various challenges facing the development of 6G, elaborating on the technologies being developed to overcome these obstacles. Shashank's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology and he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He has a wide range of technical skills, including Data Engineering, Big Data, ML, Software Engineer, SQL, ETL, Python, Hadoop, Research Scientist, and Blockchain. With 0.93 years of relevant experience, Shashank is actively seeking opportunities to further his knowledge and skills in the field of Computer Engineering.
