Shivam Garg is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer (SDE II) at Amazon with over 3 years of relevant experience in software design and development. He is a graduate of Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, where he earned his Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Throughout his career, Shivam has demonstrated a strong passion for coding and problem-solving. He has worked on several projects that were based on backend engineering using Java and AWS. Currently, he is working with the rewards discovery team at Amazon Pay, where he is responsible for displaying rewards such as coupons and scratchcards to customers. His work is split 50-50 between frontend and backend development. Prior to joining Amazon, Shivam worked as a Summer Research Intern at IIT Bhilai. During his time there, he was involved in the NetApp Faculty Fellowship project, where he worked on Resource Provisioning for Edge Computing. He was tasked with developing a benchmark to determine the optimal number of capable edge nodes that can perform computation-intensive tasks such as real-time analytics. Shivam is a highly skilled software engineer with expertise in backend development, AWS, Java, and frontend development. He is also a Research Scientist with a keen interest in discovering new things and learning. Shivam is a strong team player who is always willing to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
