Shivam Sharma is a results-driven software engineer with over 6 years of experience in backend system design and implementation. He specializes in developing technological solutions using a wide range of backend technologies such as Java, Micronaut, Docker, and others. Shivam has a lot of experience in developing microservices for cutting-edge goods such as caching, encryption, email, and more. Currently, Shivam works as a Software Engineer at Pegasystems, where he is driving the epic to support the Attribute-Based Access Control for the new Pega platform. Shivam has also implemented the lean-fnx service using Micronaut that helped other services to get on board the microservice architecture and reduced initial development and deployment time from one week to a couple of hours. He has helped the email team in designing and implementing the email service that can process 10K emails per second as per SLA. Shivam has advanced the remote execution framework by analyzing and fixing various memory leaks that considerably enhanced memory utilization. He has also upgraded the remote execution framework from Hazelcast version 3.x to 4.x, which considerably increased the security and stability of the framework. He has implemented a distributed caching service using In-Memory Data Grid technology: Redis & Lettuce client. Shivam is a Pega Certified System Architect 8. In the past, Shivam has worked as a Software Engineer at Opentext, where he implemented a Cross-Site scripting detection framework, reduced environment setup time for testing from 24 hours to 30 min. by implementing containerization and automation using Docker, and worked on the development of Web & Enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.
