Shivani Walecha is a highly motivated and task-oriented individual with a strong background in computer science. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Technology (BTech) majoring in Computer Science and Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) and is set to graduate in 2022. Shivani is a finalist at Jumpstart'21 Publicis Sapient, HackWithInfy'21, GSSOC'21, and HPAIR'21. She is also a member of Women Who Code. Shivani is skilled in C/C++, Java, Python, and is highly proficient in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Problem Solving. She has worked in a diverse set of domains, including Web-Development, Machine Learning, and Augmented Reality. Through her years of CS education, she has exposed herself to multiple tools of development with a knack for developing sustainable production-ready applications, software designing, and ideation. Currently, Shivani is a Software Development Engineer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. She is a strong engineering professional who successfully dons multiple hats, from working as a software engineer, open-source developer to Teaching Assistant, leveraging technology to solve real-world business problems across various segments. Shivani is an ardent learner and a problem solver with a keen interest in competitive programming. She has participated in and won various national-level coding challenges and competitions. In the past, Shivani has worked as a Cyber Research Intern at Gurugram Police Cyber Security Internship and as an Open Source Developer at GirlScript. She has also successfully contributed to the SNF Foundation, as a part of the Front-End Team. Shivani's final year undergraduate thesis is titled ‘Multilingual & Multimodal Hate Speech Detection using NLP’ under Dr. Pulkit Mehndiratta. Shivani is proficient in Software Engineering, Research Science, ML, NLP, Python, Web, Javascript, Java, C, and Frontend. She is looking to work in a company that fosters like-minded innovative people, working on challenging problems at scale.
