Soham Roy is a highly skilled R&D Engineer at HP with over 4 years of relevant experience in the IT industry. He is a NodeJS and Spring Boot developer with expertise in building high traffic customer-facing applications and products with microservice architecture and system design. Soham is passionate about reading technical blogs, good application architecture, and clean reliable code. He loves to find innovative solutions to make products scalable and is a strong believer in unit testing. In addition to his backend development skills, Soham has gained experience in using various DevOps tools and has some knowledge of A/B testing. He is also interested in learning more about frontend technologies. Currently, Soham is working as a Sr Software Development Engineer at Aspire Systems, where he is implementing solutions for international sponsors who pay on behalf of students belonging to universities such as Chamberlain, Walden, and Ross. He is developing the payment gateway portal backend using Spring Boot, MySQL, and Elastic Search as the database. Soham is also volunteering as a frontend developer, integrating APIs using ReactJS, and learning AngularJS to develop micro frontend architecture in the future. Soham has previously worked at Hewlett Packard as a NodeJS backend developer, where he implemented new features for HP's PPS project. He also worked on automated CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment activities. He has also worked at LYNK as an Associate Software Engineer, where he created the backend for the LYNK Answers platform using NodeJS, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Elastic Search. He developed a file scan antivirus scanning system using calmAV and utilized SNS and SQS services on the AWS platform to implement the solution. Soham completed his Higher Secondary education in Science from Sodepur High School in 2016. He has a strong tech stack, including AWS, Spring, NodeJS, Javascript, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Typescript, DevOps, Elastic Search, MySQL, GCP, Docker, Redux, ReactJS, and more.
