Solon Das is a Senior Data Engineer with over 4 years of experience in the data domain, specializing in building data pipelines at scale. He is currently working with Ab InBev India as a Senior Data Engineer in Marketing Analytics. Previously, he worked with EY GDS as a Senior Data Engineer, where he built scalable data pipelines for Goldman Sachs for their filling and regulatory data used for regulatory reporting through PowerBI dashboards. He also helped an NBFC startup build an in-house credit-scoring model, which reduced the loan approval TAT by 90% by providing a score to their customers based on their demographic factors and Experian Bureau Information. Solon has a Master of Science degree with distinction in Data Science from Liverpool John Moore's University, where he published a 90-page research thesis based on predicting fraudulent job posts by using NLP and ML methods. He also holds a Post Graduation Degree in Data Science from IIIT-Bengaluru, which he graduated with a 3.62 GPA. Solon has hands-on experience in analyzing data from different domains, building data pipelines from source to target, deriving insights for the target business goal, and developing predictive models and writing production-level deployable code using Python, PySpark, and SQL. He is proficient in technologies such as Azure DataBricks, Azure CosmosDB, Kafka, autoML, and building PowerBI dashboards. Apart from his professional expertise, Solon is a musician and photographer by passion and a learning enthusiast. He is keen on accepting new challenges and solving innovative problems.
