Somya Dhingra is a skilled Software Developer with 5+ years of experience in various domains. She specializes in backend development and automation testing. Currently working as a Back-end Developer at pingspace, Somya is building a robotics storage solution for warehouses in Penang, Malaysia. She has gained expertise in Node.JS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, WebSockets, Message Queue, and Postman. Somya is passionate about solving business problems by translating them into code. She is an effective team player with good communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. Prior to pingspace, Somya worked as a Software Developer in Test for Cisco, India. She wrote test cases and test scripts and designed and developed a Test automation framework using Python based PyATS. She also set up Jenkins to automate the regression testing process, making testing a continuous process. Somya designed and developed a device monitoring tool to monitor an inventory of 200 devices using Flask and Bootstrap to help the team have better visibility of the inventory. She wrote automated test cases for customer scenarios, re-created customer defects in the lab, and automated test cases around them to add them to the existing regression suite. Before Cisco, Somya worked as a Project Engineer for Wipro. She performed regression testing for Cisco VoIP phones and set up a performance regression testing team for VoIP phones. She also worked on various R&D tasks that helped replace obsolete tools, increase the productivity of the team, and provide better testing coverage. Somya holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology. She wishes to continue working on projects that have the potential to make the world a better place. She hopes to work across the globe, across domains, and across industries. Somya is also open to remote work and can easily adjust to various time zones.
