Srinivas Chamarthy is an accomplished engineering executive with over 22 years of experience in building, leading and managing geographically dispersed teams. He is currently serving as the Head of Engineering and Site Lead at Grab, a leading ride-hailing and delivery platform in Southeast Asia. In this role, he is responsible for leading and managing several teams including Lending, BNPL, BNPx, Payments, Merchant Platform, Fraud and Risk protection, FinTrust, FinID, KYC, KYB, ML & Data Science, and Central QA Engineering. Srinivas has deep expertise in scaling and building distributed, highly performant, low latency products and partnering closely with cross-functional business teams to deliver solutions that increase stakeholder value and GMV. He has extensive experience in payments and e-commerce, including consumer ID management, KYC, fraud prevention, risk, supply chain management, demand shaping, retail inventory planning, inventory placement, automated inventory procurement, inventory health, selection & inventory economics, promotions, pricing intelligence, and pricing economics. Srinivas has hands-on experience in seeding and building new product lines and growth areas from incubation and growing them to maturity. He has also led and managed data-driven algorithmic development that determines dynamic models such as buying optimization for JIT, Non-JIT, and Re-Order quantities, KYC, and ID management. He led the modeling of a new algorithm to detect demand and order spikes that improved profitability and reduced the risk of OOS. He built Opportunity Buy systems for non-JIT buys, automated order processing, Long term staged Buy, automated vendor selection, vendor management, and brand stores. He also led the development for new verticals such as Grocery, seller insights, merchant payments, listing quality, promotional user insights, and pricing intelligence. Prior to joining Grab, Srinivas held leadership positions at Flipkart, where he served as Director of Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager. He holds a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) from Aurora's PG College. Srinivas is a Senior Software Engineer, QA, ML, and Data Scientist with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions that drive business growth.
