Sumit Dey is a highly experienced Technical Team Lead at Curve Tomorrow with over 8 years of experience across multiple domains including Agriculture, Intelligent Transport Systems, and Digital Health. As a ROR Tech Lead, he leads the Back End team within the Curve Group to develop and maintain services across its clients including Researchers, Hospitals, and Clinicians. Sumit has a proven track record of implementing IT projects from inception to execution. He has hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture, multiple Development Frameworks, Databases, Web Services, RESTful APIs, Microservices, SDLC, and Process automation in an Agile environment. He is passionate about coding and development using agile and TDD practices, analysis and architectural design of digital systems and DB schemas, and implementation of best practice development processes, as part of the leadership team. Sumit has coached and mentored team members across multiple platforms and led numerous projects including We Guide, a patient engagement system, Virtual U, an online training platform that makes simulation training easy, accessible, and immersive using virtual reality, and Allergy Pal, which helps parents share allergy plans and manage their child’s allergy information. Before joining Curve Tomorrow, Sumit worked as a Senior Software Engineer - Web System at Quantum Inventions, where he developed a product called Mapsynq, a Traffic Information Platform that allows the creation, fusion, and dissemination of traffic information obtained from different sources of raw traffic information. He also worked on a product called QORS, a routing platform that provides dynamic routes based on multiple static and dynamic criteria such as speed, travel time, traffic avoidance, and road pricing charge minimization. He trained and mentored peers on web development. Sumit also worked as a Software Engineer at Yottolabs, where he designed and developed a government project to help the agriculture of West Bengal. From the farmers to the higher level agriculture officers, they benefited from this system. He also designed and developed Touchventory, a total solution for small to large-scale retail industries using Ruby on Rails and Postgresql. Sumit holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology and completed his 12th from Iswar Chandra Institution in the science stream.
