Sunil Singh Negi is an experienced SQL DBA with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as a Module Lead at Xavient Information Systems, where he is responsible for handling Microsoft SQL Database related issues both in production and non-production environments. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior SQL DBA at DXC Technology, where he gained extensive experience in installation and configuration of SQL Server 2014, 2012, 2008 R2, 2008, 2005 and 2000. Sunil has technical proficiency in handling rigorous troubleshooting on Database Backup, Restore, Log shipping, Mirroring, Clustering, Always On, etc. He is also experienced in scheduling Backups, Restore and Maintenance plans and checking the General Health growth of the servers and the databases. He has hands-on experience in Migration of SQL Server 2014, 2012, 2008 R2, 2008, 2005 and 2000 and in using different Recovery models Simple, Full and Bulk-logged depending on Application requirement. He has also been involved in Domain Migration Activity of SQL Server from one domain to another domain. Sunil has created maintenance plans to perform index de-fragmentation, re-indexing and update the index statistics. He has also created Linked Servers between SQL Server 2012, 2008 R2, Oracle 9i and 10g. He has experience in supporting Very Large databases and troubleshooting the problems. He has strong experience in mentoring team members and writing documentation. He has provided 24 X 7 Production Database on Call Support and has experience in Disaster Recovery Planning and Security Management operations. He has managed servers in Active/Active and Active/Passive clustering Environment and has experience in installation and Maintenance Of AlwaysOn Availability Group. Sunil has excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, strong troubleshooting and organizational skill. He has experience in using DMV and dynamic management functions for finding out long-running queries. He has also spoken with clients/application and development teams regarding issues and kept track of the issue till it gets resolved.
