Surya Jayaraman is a Sensor Fusion Engineer with a passion for self-driving cars. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Surya has an impressive track record of applying Robotics, Control systems, and Deep Learning concepts to real-world applications in the automotive domain. Currently, he works as a Software Engineer at WABCO, where he is involved in developing automated systems for Off-Highway applications. Surya's expertise lies in Python, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician from Anna University, Madras Institute of Technology Campus. He has also completed his High School education from New Prince Matriculation Higher Secondary School. In the past, Surya has worked as a Summer Intern at Caterpillar, where he worked on "Tool check sheet for NPI, Tools Validation, Quality Management, and Safety." During his internship, he got introduced to Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, and proposed a concept to improve worker's safety for a particular use case. Surya's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Deep Learning, and Python. He is a self-driving car enthusiast and is always looking for new ways to apply his skills and knowledge to this field.
