Tarun Thomas is an experienced Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience in designing and developing embedded software using C/C++ on Unix/Linux and Android platforms. He has worked extensively in the Automotive Infotainment industry, focusing on multimedia stack and embedded lifecycle components. Tarun possesses good knowledge of adaptive AUTOSAR components such as execution and state management and has developed solutions with Franca definition and GENIVI commonAPI. He is well-versed in embedded Linux, particularly related to startup and lifecycle management, including systemd, system time manager application with various sources, and navigation & sensor framework using ublox specification. Tarun has hands-on experience in creating SELinux rules and has a deep understanding of the embedded systems domain. Currently working as a Software Engineer at allgo embedded systems pvt ltd, Tarun has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company. In his role, he was responsible for developing and maintaining proprietary multimedia stack in Linux OS. He supported connection, browsing, and playback of iAP1 and iAP2 (iPhones) devices. Prior to this, Tarun worked as a Sr. Software Engineer I at Harman, where he was an Automotive Platform Developer for QNX RTOS and Linux-based projects. He developed middleware components, including Adaptive AUTOSAR stack, system time manager, and navigation and sensor framework using ublox specification. Tarun holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Android, and C.
