Tia Fowlkes is a driven computer science graduate with a long-term career goal of improving the quality of life through the advancement of software development. Currently, she is a Program Manager at Google, working as a BOLD Intern. In her current role, Tia has owned the international next-generation display beta test in Tier 1 countries, where she recruited populations, managed device distribution, and reported weekly program updates to product leads. She has also designed and implemented the first-of-its-kind dogfood referral program to hit target testing population in France. Tia has led cross-functional bi-weekly meetings to address immediate insights from dogfood reports and user feedback insights to accelerate problem-solving between next-generation camera teams. Additionally, she has created a dogfood plan for Google hardware and third-party partnership, defining a timeline for dogfood phases per software release and developing entrance and exit criteria in critical user journeys for stakeholders to track pre-launch. Prior to her current role, Tia was also a BOLD Intern at Google, where she collaborated with UXR lead to build/send a survey to 10k+ beta testers (dogfooders) to improve beta test (dogfood) feedback process while providing internal incentives to increase survey participation. She has also welcomed 650+ dogfooders and team members to Dogfood Thank You Event to build a sense of community leading to increased motivation to file feedback resulting in higher product excellence. Tia facilitated a brainstorm session identifying six dogfood feedback processes to improve and managed vendor dogfood hardware operations team to ship 300 devices to five different cities in the US. She built out scalable process documents to provide context and allow replication of projects in the future. Tia has also been a Summer Venture in Management Program (SVMP) Student at Harvard Business School, where she studied and learned the HBS case method to prepare for one week of MBA classes. She engaged in class discussion to advance the business thought process, created daily critical thinking goals to examine in study sessions, and interacted with other students to learn different perspectives and business approaches. Tia holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Michigan State University, where she graduated in 2020. Her tech stack includes test and software engineering, and she has relevant experience of 2.77 years.
