Trushar Gohil, Ph.D is an Assistant Professor at VNIT Nagpur with over 13 years of relevant experience in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He obtained his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2010, with his thesis titled "Control of Circular and Square Jets Using Large Scale Perturbations: A Numerical Study". Trushar has worked on various projects related to CFD, including Bio-Fluid Flows, Turbulent Flows, DNS & LES, and Jet Flow Control. He is proficient in operating systems such as Linux and Windows, and programming languages like Fortran, C, and C++. He also has experience with parallel processing using MPI and OpenMP, and has worked with open source codes like OpenFOAM and CFD softwares such as Fluent, CFX, and PHOENICS. Additionally, he has expertise in meshing softwares such as ICEM-CFD and visualization tools like Tecplot and MatLab. Prior to his current role at VNIT Nagpur, Trushar worked as an Assistant Professor at BITS, Pilani – K. K. Birla, Goa Campus and as a Senior Developer at ESI Group. He has also been involved in an Indo-Swiss project at the Computer Vision Lab of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ), Switzerland, which was funded by the Indo-Swiss Joint Research Programme (ISJRP). Trushar's education background includes a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from VJTI, India, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from SSEC, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. He has also published several research papers in international journals and conferences. In addition to his expertise in CFD, Trushar also has experience in Computer Vision and has worked as a Research Scientist. With his vast knowledge and experience in these areas, he is a valuable asset to any team in the field of engineering and research.
