Tushar Babbar is a highly skilled software engineer with over 10 years of experience in developing products from scratch and enhancing existing engineering solutions for performance and reliability. He has a strong ability to reverse engineer systems, enabling him to be effective in unexplored domains. Tushar has worked in varied domains such as Web Application development, DevOps and Developer tools, NLP and text processing, Search, AuthN, and Cloud/Distributed computing. Currently, Tushar is a Software Engineer at Amazon, working on the Externalized Amazon Fulfillment Technology (AFT-X) project. He has designed the next-gen traffic routing approach for routing requests from Public internet to AFT applications with OIDC based authentication and support for 3PL identities. He has also developed an approach for internal tool teams to maintain AFT-X based infrastructure in a standard and decentralized way, minimizing the code changes required for existing tools to be onboarded to AFT-X. Tushar has previously worked with Flipkart as a Software Engineer, where he improved the performance of a PySpark based aspect and opinion mining from review text by 10x using simple divide and conquer and memoization techniques. He dockerized (virtual containers) PySpark Workers to restrict hogging of unlimited compute resources, making the system fair for concurrent jobs for review processing. Tushar has also worked with Practo as a Software Engineer, where he implemented Blue Green Deployment flow and Phased deployments with Canary Analysis for Practo's search platform, enabling continuous delivery for a 10yr old system, saving 6hrs of developer time every week. He has also replaced a 5 yrs old in-house ticketing system with in-built features for enforcing timely resolution of customer tickets, priority buckets, SLA based escalations, and lead the engineering and product definition for the MVP. Tushar holds a degree in Engineering from Inderprastha Engineering College.
