Tushar Kathuria is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in native Android app and SDK development, as well as web-based product development. With almost 6 years of relevant experience, Tushar has a proven track record of creating tools and libraries that improve developer productivity, quality, and performance, and enable teams to quickly release new features. Currently working as a Software Engineer II for Uber, Tushar is highly skilled in Android, Kotlin, SDK, Compose, Material, Design System, and Javascript. He has a passion for creating impactful solutions that positively impact team goals and objectives. In his previous role as a Software Engineer II at Compass, Tushar was responsible for supporting Android feature teams that use Android Design System SDK. He closely collaborated with designers and feature engineers to implement and own 25 Android Design System components/custom views. Tushar also led a team of contractors to migrate Android Design System to Jetpack Compose, building the roadmap, API design, and reviewing PRs. He also set up the test and release workflows, distributed an internal sample app, and added markdown documentation for all components, which became a point of reference for feature teams. Tushar holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from Lovely Professional University and completed his 12th grade from Kamla Nehru Public School.
