Tushar Kumar is an accomplished professional with over 6 years of experience in operational improvement strategy and logistics cost optimization. Currently working as an Associate at Kearney, Tushar is responsible for developing operational improvement strategies for a leading City Gas Distribution Company. He has conducted a deep-dive analysis of gas balancing reports, CNG and PNG SCADA data, and maintenance schedules to identify loss trends, high loss equipment, and stations. Tushar has also conducted internal and external benchmarking of gas loss across different sections in the network through interactions with stakeholders, OEM manufacturers, and industry experts. He has developed a 3-year roadmap with identified initiatives, RACI, and timelines to reduce gas loss. In addition to this, Tushar has also worked on logistics cost optimization for an Indian Metals and Mining Major. He has managed over 100 cost reduction initiatives across 3 sites and has directly managed 30+ initiatives. He has conducted cost baselining and benchmarking for all logistics costs across client sites and has identified key indicators and developed a KPI dashboard. Tushar has also developed a VBA powered tool for centralizing procurement and chartering process of vessels for multiple commodities for reducing vessel demurrage. Tushar has previously worked as a Management Intern at Scholars Avenue Goal Limited and as a Mantra Intern - Commercial Strategy at Coca-Cola. At Coca-Cola, Tushar facilitated the market launch of new Maaza PET with nitro hot fill (NHF) in Punjab and Bengal markets. He also built Scale Up plans and Business Cases for Juice PET Line – Investments Plans, Payback Analysis for 7 bottlers. Tushar has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
