Umang Sinha is a final year Data Science student at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, with a passion for Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Software Development. With almost 3 years of relevant experience in the field, he currently works as a Machine Learning Scientist II in the CTO's team at Turing. Umang has a strong background in building and implementing Machine Learning models and algorithms. He has worked on developing an innovative application called Comunee, which provides real-time feedback on conversations to help users become better listeners and more self-aware. Umang proposed and implemented the application centered around Automatic Voice Diarization and Voice Recognition to process two-party conversations in real-time. The application was a finalist in many prestigious startup competitions like UC Berkeley Launch, SkyDeck, and HotDesk, while achieving some funding in the process. In his previous role as a Software Developer at Pi Beam Labs Pvt Ltd, Umang worked on building a prototype for assisted pedaling for Pi Beams Rickshaws. He was involved in the embedded coding of the microcontroller (Arduino, Intel Edison) PIDs and PWM for the BLDC motor for the same. Assisted pedaling reduces the effort put in by the pedaler by applying torque on the pedal equal to that of the pedaler, thus giving him a sense of lesser load on the vehicle. Umang has a Master's Degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He completed his Bachelor's degree from Vivek High School, Chandigarh. Umang has a diverse set of technical skills, including ML, Research Scientist, Senior Software Engineer, Deep Learning, Data Scientist, and Software Engineer. Umang is actively looking for job opportunities in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Software Development.
