Veda Shankar is a Senior Principal Product Manager with over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently working at Red Hat as the Senior Principal Product Manager for Cloud Data Services, where he is responsible for making OpenShift Database Access simple to build, deploy, monitor, and manage applications that utilize cloud hosted partner database services on OpenShift across multiple clusters in hybrid clouds. Veda has previously worked at Red Hat as the Principal Technical Marketing Manager, where he created several reference architectures with hardware and software partners for optimum solutions using Red Hat Storage products - Ceph & Gluster. He also created test drives for both products on Amazon AWS for demo, training, and POC. Before joining Red Hat, Veda was a Senior Developer Advocate at OmniSci, where he evangelized the technical value of OmniSci's GPU-accelerated data analytics and visualization platform. He worked on several key projects, including importing data from Kinesis Stream into OmniSci on Amazon Web Services, using Azure Functions for implementing serverless data streaming into OmniSci database on Microsoft Azure, and running OmniSci docker container using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) on Google Cloud Platform. He also analyzed and visualized Oil & Gas dataset and Vehicle Telematics dataset using OmniSci for GeoSpatial Analytics. Veda holds an MS in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) from IIT Dhanbad. His technical skills include product management, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Web, and infra. Veda's extensive experience in the technology industry and his expertise in cloud data services make him a valuable asset to any organization.
