Vijaya Sekhar Gunupudi is a highly accomplished hands-on leader, mentor, and angel investor with over 15 years of experience in driving complex safety-critical software products and open backend servers. He is a skilled change agent who fosters a speak-up culture and promotes self-development, taking smart risks to achieve success. With over 9 years of people development experience in highly matrixed organizations, Vijaya has mentored over 80 engineers and created multiple self-functioning teams. He has also created a career aspiration four-pillar framework for effective career development. Vijaya has successfully transitioned concepts into turnkey solutions, leading 26 full life cycle deliveries, with 14 DAL-B SW TSOs, a pinnacle achievement within the aviation industry. He has also been part of multiple winning bids in the midst of crisis, a testament to his leadership skills. Vijaya's hands-on leadership style has helped resolve multiple issues within a distributed enterprise software application and led to the creation and enhancement of server monitoring tools. He has transformed multiple product development cycles from traditional to agile methods and is certified as a SAFe Agilist and SAFe POPM. Currently, Vijaya is a Senior Manager of Development at Amadeus, where he leads the Rail Distribution Platform and Referential Data. He has previously held leadership roles at Boeing as a Software Engineering Manager for Flight Management Software and at Collins Aerospace as an Engineering Manager for Data Link and Information Systems. Vijaya holds a Master of Technology degree in Power System Control and Automation from GVP College of Engineering and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Gudlavalleru Engineering College. He also attended SFS High School. Vijaya's relevant experience in senior software engineering and backend development spans almost 15 years.
