Waleed Rafi is a dedicated and passionate software engineer with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) related fields, particularly deep learning and computer vision. He is currently in his final year of BS Computer Science at International Islamic University, Islamabad, where he has been actively involved in various research projects. Waleed has a diverse skill set that includes web and cross-platform mobile application development, as well as expertise in AWS, MERN, REACT NATIVE, and Python. He has experience working as a Full-Stack web developer primarily in JavaScript and its frameworks and libraries, and as a MERN and MEVN Stack Developer. Currently working as a Software Engineer at markaz technologies (yc w22), Waleed has also previously worked as a Deep Learning and Computer Vision Researcher at the national electronics complex of pakistan (necop). During his time at NECOP, he worked on several projects, including developing a complete prototype of the Fake News Detection model using Geometric Deep Learning (Graph Neural Networks GNN) & PyTorch Geometric, achieving an accuracy rate of 92.67%. He also conducted research on Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and provided suggestions to the OSINT team. Waleed's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the International Islamic University, Islamabad. He is highly skilled in various technologies such as Software Engineering, AWS, Python, React Native, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Web, AI, Mobile, Javascript, Research Scientist, Neural Networks, and Pytorch. With 1.28 years of relevant experience, Waleed is an ambitious and motivated individual who is always eager to take on complex tasks. He is passionate about using his skills and knowledge to make a positive impact and is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
