Interview question predictor
AI mock interview, built by a recruiting company.
An AI mock interview reads a job description and your resume, then predicts the 10 questions the interviewer is most likely to ask. This tool gives you those questions, ranked by probability, with sample answers in your voice, a breakdown of why they will ask each one, and follow-ups to anticipate.
Most candidates over-prepare on the wrong questions and under-prepare on the obvious ones. The tool uses the same AI evaluation logic Weekday uses to screen candidates for top startups, just pointed in the other direction.
Three steps. No login.
Paste the JD
Drop in the full job description. The more detail, the better the predictions.
Add your background
Paste your resume or a paragraph summary. The tool calibrates questions to your level and gaps.

Tips & tricks for best results
A JD for a senior backend engineer at a fintech generates wildly different questions than a generic backend role. Paste the full thing.
If your resume has a 6-month gap or a career switch, leave it in. The AI will predict the awkward question so you can practice the answer.
Run it once for the hiring manager round and once for the technical round. The questions barely overlap.
Use the AI predictions plus Glassdoor reviews of the company. If both surface the same question, it's almost certain.
Reading sample answers is comfort. Saying them aloud, on a timer, is preparation.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI mock interview?
An AI mock interview is a free preparation tool that simulates a real job interview by predicting the questions a hiring manager is most likely to ask, based on the job description and your resume. Unlike a static list of interview questions, an AI mock interview is tailored to a specific role and your background, and includes sample answers in your voice.
How accurate are the predicted interview questions?
Weekday's AI mock interview tool predicts 6 to 8 of the 10 questions that candidates were actually asked, based on our internal testing across more than 5,000 interview loops in 2025. Accuracy is highest for behavioural and JD-anchored questions (around 80%) and lowest for company-specific trivia (around 30%). The model uses three signals: the language patterns in your JD, the gaps between your resume and the role, and aggregated patterns from thousands of real interview transcripts.
How long should I prepare for an interview?
Plan 4 to 6 hours of preparation for a single 45-minute behavioural interview, according to career-coaching benchmarks from Big Interview and Career Contessa. Break it into three blocks: 90 minutes researching the company and role, 2 hours drafting and refining STAR-framework answers to the 10 most likely questions, and 1 to 2 hours of verbal practice on a timer. For technical or executive interviews, double these numbers.
What are the most common job interview questions?
The most common job interview questions across roles are: tell me about yourself, why do you want this job, what are your strengths, what is your biggest weakness, tell me about a time you handled a conflict, where do you see yourself in 5 years, why are you leaving your current role, what is your salary expectation, do you have any questions for us, and walk me through your resume. Use the tool above to get questions specific to your JD.
How do I prepare for an interview using AI?
Three steps. First, paste the job description into an AI mock interview tool like this one to get the 10 most likely questions. Second, write a 60 to 90 second answer for each, using the STAR framework (situation, task, action, result) for behavioural questions. Third, practice each answer out loud, on a timer, ideally with someone else listening. AI prep is a starting point, not a substitute for verbal practice.
Is the tool free? Do I need to sign up?
Yes, the AI mock interview tool is completely free, and no sign-up is required. You can use it as many times as you want.
Will the company see that I used this tool?
No. Nothing you paste is shared with the hiring company. Inputs are sent to our AI provider to generate the response and are not stored against your identity.
What if the JD is vague or short?
If the JD is thin, also paste the company's About page or any context about the team. The model leans heavily on the JD, so more context produces sharper predictions.
Does this work for technical interviews and coding rounds?
It does a good job on system design, behavioural, role-specific technical questions, and case studies. It cannot predict the exact LeetCode problem you will get. For algorithmic coding interviews, use this for the behavioural and design rounds and use a problem-bank for the algorithmic round.
How is this different from generic interview question lists?
Generic lists give you 100 questions that may or may not be relevant. This tool gives you 10 questions ranked by probability for your specific JD and your specific resume, with sample answers in your voice. It is targeted prep, not a study guide.
Can I use this for non-tech interviews?
Yes. It works for any role where there is a written JD: sales, marketing, design, ops, finance, and so on. The behavioural questions are role-agnostic; the technical ones adapt to the function in the JD.
