HCLTech has stepped up fresher hiring sharply. In the July to September 2026 quarter it hired 6,136 freshers, up from 1,056 in the quarter before. If you are a 2025 or 2026 graduate, this is a good time to apply.
Fresher roles at HCLTech
- Graduate fresher (Software Engineer / Graduate Trainee) for B.E./B.Tech.
- Elite AI track, new in 2026, for candidates with an AI or GenAI portfolio. One report puts pay at ₹18 to 22 LPA; treat that figure with caution until HCLTech confirms it.
- TechBee, an early-career programme for Class 12 pass-outs: training, then a full-time job, with an optional degree from IIT Guwahati in Data Science and AI.

Selection process
- Online test: aptitude and technical.
- Technical interview: about 30 to 45 minutes on core CS and your projects.
- HR interview.
