Accenture hires freshers mainly as Associate Software Engineers (ASE). Strong scorers can land the higher-paying Advanced ASE role. You don't choose the track. Your test scores decide it.
Accenture fresher roles and salary
- Associate Software Engineer (ASE): approx. ₹4.5 – 6.5 LPA.
- Advanced ASE: approx. ₹6.5 – 9 LPA.
Packages vary by drive and year. Check your offer letter.
Eligibility
- Degrees: B.E./B.Tech or MCA (or equivalent) in engineering or computing. Branches are set per job posting.
- Marks: Accenture sets the cut-off per drive, so check your job posting or placement notice.
- Backlogs: no active backlogs during application or onboarding.
- Batch: set per drive. Usually the current graduating batch.
Selection process (up to 5 steps)
- Cognitive ability test: analytical, abstract reasoning and problem solving.
- Technical assessment: programming basics, pseudocode, networking, cloud and security basics.
- Communication assessment: an AI-scored spoken English test.
- Coding round: usually 2 problems. Your score here helps decide ASE vs Advanced ASE.
- Interview: HR (plus a dedicated technical interview for Advanced ASE).

- Accenture never charges for tests, interviews or offers.
How to prepare
- Don't skip networking, cloud and security basics. Accenture tests them even for freshers.
- Practise abstract reasoning (shapes and patterns).
- Do 2 easy coding problems daily. Partial test cases often count, so submit something that works.
