Capgemini hires freshers across India through its Exceller program for software engineering roles. Its test is different from other IT companies: you play short brain games instead of a normal aptitude test.
Capgemini fresher roles and salary
- Analyst: approx. ₹4.25 LPA (reported as ₹4 LPA plus a one-time incentive).
- Analyst (differential hiring): approx. ₹5.75 LPA for higher scorers.
- Senior Analyst: approx. ₹7.5 LPA. Fewer seats and a coding round.

Eligibility
- Batch: recent Exceller drives targeted the current graduating batch.
- Degrees: B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech (all branches), MCA, and M.Sc (CS/IT).
- Marks and backlogs: set per drive. Most IT drives expect around 60% and no active backlogs, so confirm in your notice.
Selection process
- Game-based aptitude: 6–8 short games testing memory, patterns, logic and speed.
- Pseudocode / technical MCQs: trace short programs and find outputs or errors.
- Coding round: mainly for Senior Analyst. Two easy to medium problems.
- Technical interview: CS basics and your project.
- HR interview: behavioural questions. Use the STAR method.

How to prepare
- Practise free online brain games (grid memory, number sequences, rotation) for 20 minutes a day.
- Do C-style pseudocode questions on loops, recursion and bitwise operators.
- Prepare 3–4 real STAR stories for the HR round.
