Infosys plans to onboard around 20,000 freshers in 2026. Besides campus placements, it hires through off campus drives and its coding contest, HackWithInfy. Here is everything you need to apply.
Infosys fresher roles and salary
- Systems Engineer (SE): approx. ₹3.6 – 4.2 LPA. The main mass-hiring role.
- Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE): approx. ₹6.25 LPA, with a joining bonus reported at around ₹75,000.
- Specialist Programmer (SP): reported in levels. L1 approx. ₹10 LPA (plus joining bonus), L2 approx. ₹16 LPA and L3 approx. ₹21 LPA.

Eligibility (recent drives)
- Batch: the 2026 batch for the current DSE/SP drives. Some SE drives accept earlier batches.
- Degrees: B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MCA or M.Sc (full-time).
- Branches: CSE, IT, AI/ML, data science, cyber security, ECE, EEE and related branches.
- Marks: 60% or 6.0 CGPA throughout.
- Backlogs: none active at the time of applying.
- Gap: up to 2 years.
Selection process
- Online registration on the Infosys careers portal.
- Online assessment: aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability and pseudocode.
- Coding assessment (DSE and SP): usually 3 problems of increasing difficulty.
- Technical interview: your project, one language, OOP, DBMS and DSA.
- HR interview: relocation, shifts and documents.
- Offer, then foundation training (often at the Mysuru campus).
How to apply safely
- Apply only through the official Infosys careers site or links shared by your placement cell.
- Check that the drive is still open before filling forms. Old registration links stay online long after they close.
- Infosys never asks for money for tests or offers.
