Boardy is one of the most talked-about AI tools in networking. It calls itself an "AI superconnector": you chat with it, and it introduces you to people who can help, whether investors, hires, customers or a job. Here is how it works, what it costs, and whether it's useful if you're job hunting in India.
What is Boardy?
Boardy is an AI that talks to people, remembers what they're looking for, and makes introductions when two people fit. It was founded by Andrew D'Souza, based between Toronto and San Francisco. It raised a $3 million pre-seed led by HF0 and an $8 million seed led by Creandum (TechCrunch, January 2025).
How Boardy works
- Talk to it on WhatsApp, iMessage, LinkedIn, X, email or a call. Tell it who you are and what you need.
- It searches everyone it has spoken to.
- It asks the other side. Intros are double opt-in: both people agree first.
- It introduces you, and can also help schedule and prepare for meetings.

| Good for founders, investors and senior tech roles | No India-specific job data |
Is Boardy useful for job seekers in India?
Maybe, for some people. If you're in tech and open to global or startup roles, a well-placed intro could be valuable. But Boardy can only connect you with people it has talked to, and its users and events appear concentrated in the US. We found no India-specific numbers.
Profound, a Bengaluru startup founded by ex-Swiggy and Zomato leaders, is building an India-first "AI Rep" that presents you to hiring managers. It raised a $1.5 million seed in August 2026 and is in early access.
